Which payment plans do you use?
We’ve partnered with Tandia Financial Credit Union to assist in financing your periodontal treatment. Through Tandia, you can access a specialized Wellness Loan designed specifically to cover the expenses of your treatment at our clinic. You can obtain this two-year Personal Unsecured Term Loan with rates starting at 7.49%, up to a maximum of $20,000.

Do you accept insurance, if so which ones?
As a non-assignment office, you must pay the entire treatment cost upfront, regardless of your insurance type. We will assist you in submitting claims to your insurance company to ensure you receive reimbursement directly.
Please note, we do not participate in the following government programs:
- Interim Federal Health Program
- Healthy Smiles
- Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP)
- Ontario Senior’s Dental Care Program
- Ontario Works
The Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) does not cover any dental or periodontal treatments.
We can submit claims to the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB), Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB), and The Ontario Cleft Lip and Palate and Craniofacial Dental Program, if you have been approved for these programs. Coverage will reimburse you directly.
Do you provide insurance predetermination?
We are happy to send a predetermination to your insurance so you can understand your reimbursement amounts.
- Initial Submission: Typically, this is arranged when you receive your treatment plan at our office.
- Re-submission: Please reach out to our office anytime if you require a re-submission, especially if there are changes in your plan or if it’s a new insurance year.
Insurance Responses
- Insurance responses will be sent directly to you.
- Please allow several days to a few weeks for the insurance company to provide an estimate for your treatment.

Do You Accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)?
Beginning July 2024, we will accept CDCP on a case-by-case basis.
Please note that the CDCP does not provide free dental care. You will be required to pay the portion of costs that are not covered.
Eligibility and Enrollment
If you are eligible for the CDCP, you must enroll yourself and obtain a valid Sunlife member card. You will be responsible for paying the copayment at the time of your appointment and the balance not covered by the plan.
Coverage and Costs
The CDCP covers only the oral health care services included in its program and according to its established fee schedule. CDCP fees are lower than the provincial suggested fee guides for general dentists. As a specialty office, our fees exceed both the general fee guide and the CDCP rates.
Limited Specialty Services
Most periodontal services, including implants and soft tissue grafting, are not covered by the CDCP. Additionally, the CDCP offers limited coverage for the routine procedures we perform here. The recommended treatment is based on your best interest, not on your coverage.

Our goal is to provide you with the very best treatment at a reasonable cost.
All of our fees are openly explained in detail before any treatment is initiated. We do not accept assignment of your insurance benefits from your insurance provider. This simply means that while we submit all claims to your insurance company for you, our policy is to collect fees from you at the time of your visit, with your insurance payment sent directly to you.
Dental Insurance
Our treatment coordination team will be glad to help you to submit your dental insurance claim. We also assist with insurance questionnaires and forms of all kinds.
Our treatment coordinators are experts in dental insurance and are available at any time to answer your specific questions.
Financing Your Treatment
We understand and are sympathetic to financial pressures, and so we always make our treatment recommendations conservative, whenever possible.
