Kirsty

Registered Nurse

Kirsty joined our team of Nurses in the summer of 2020.  She joins us with over 10 years of Nursing experience in many different areas including complex care, medicine/surgery, and day surgery.  However, she says her favourite department to work in is Emergency because of the constant challenge and changing environment – Kirsty likes to be kept on her toes!

She completed her RPN at Niagara College in 2010 and proceeded to complete her Bachelors of Nursing through Athabasca Univeristy’s bridging program in 2016.

Her favourite aspect of being an RN is the versatility.  She loves the different opportunities and career paths that are available to her through nursing and the fact that no two shifts are ever the same!

Working as a Nurse, caring for patients to our clinic is a complete change from the Emergency Room..  She notes her favourite part of being an RN with our clinic is having the time to really focus on the patient’s experience and in being a part of their care from their arrival through to departure – something she often doesn’t get to experience in the hustle and bustle of the ER.

Kirsty also makes us blush when she notes that “the team at the clinic is also incredble.  Everyone is so kind and supportive and truly makes for a great environment.”

When not in her scrubs, Kirsty and her husband Trevor are big hockey fans!  On their bucket list is the goal to travel to every NHL arena to watch their favourite team, the Montreal Canadiens play!
