Perio in the Peninsula 2018 – Office and Medical Emergencies

Medical emergencies can occur anywhere and at any time.  Fortunately, most medical emergencies in our offices come with some warning.  As well, there are some medical emergencies that are common.  This interactive session will discuss the incidence and treatment of the most frequent medical emergencies, like myocardial infarction.  The importance of your team’s training and organization will be covered with emphasis placed on the medical emergency kits and their use and the dental team’s organization and approach to emergency care.  Much of the discussion will come from scenarios.  Let’s see if we’re ready for the next medical emergency.
