Dr. Wendy Ward and Chef Olaf Mertens teamed up once again to present a night of education and flavour centred around the topic of “Superfoods.” These foods are known for their exceptional nutrient density and health benefits. Flavonoids, a type of antioxidant found in superfoods like berries, dark chocolate, and tea, have been shown to have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties that can improve bone density and may help to reduce inflammation parameters after SRP.
Chef Olaf educated us on all the factors that play a role into how taste. To exemplify this, he prepared a variety of tasting dishes that were jam-packed with superfoods. From a a Chai Tea Cocktail Blossom to a Superfood Charger Build a bowl, each dish was not only delicious but also packed with nutrients.
